HOW I GET PAID
Fee Structure
My compensation has two completely different parts.
Your Investment > Hourly
Every week, I dedicate approximately two hours specifically to you. Not your business... you. This is work I cannot do alone to keep me aligned with your priorities, values, and biggest obstacles. That time includes our meetings, and intermittent communications.
Alignment > Shared Value Creation
Everything beyond those two hours exists for one reason: to align our interests. You want your business to grow and become profitable. If I am not rewarded for the same thing, I can never truly be a second driving force behind your success. With alignment, however, I am free to invest as much of my time, creativity, and skills as needed without billing you for those hours at a time when your business cannot afford that cost.
My payment for that work comes from the revenue and profits it generates, just like you.
WHY NOT CHARGE EVERYTHING UPFRONT?
My focus is on businesses that are under $1,000,000 per year. Some of them under $100,000. My upfront fee would be substantially higher than most operators' available cashflow, taking my service out of reach for 99% of my target audience.
I'd rather keep the guaranteed cost lower and earn more only if we create more together. That model:
1). Shifts most of the risk onto me
2). Lets us start working together much sooner than would otherwise be affordable.
3). Gives me every reason to keep looking for improvements
4). Creates a relationship where we're both working toward the same objective
5). Rewards exceptional results.
I'm an entrepreneur at heart. If we build an exceptional business together, I believe my compensation should reflect the value I've created. And if we don't? You shouldn't be charged for it.
